The Fiery Vixen

Summoned by fire and glitter, Smokey LaBare lights up the stage with her explosive mix of fire art, circus skills, and sensual storytelling.

This fine artist uses the medium of burlesque to showcase her love of circus, dance, costuming, and conflagration. From dark fetish to daggy drag, nothing is off limits for this creative fireball.

Biography

Originally from the bowels of Texas, Smokey began her circus journey in 2007 when she first came to Australia. Here in Perth she was adopted by some incredible weirdos and learned to unicycle, quickly followed by juggling, poi, staff twirling, fire eating, and hula hooping. In 2009 she made Perth her home and began fire performing professionally in 2010. A few years later, after falling in love with burlesque, Smokey LaBare was officially born in a Sugar Blue Burlesque Solo class. Now she is giving back to the wonderful community that helped her learn to love her ass by teaching people how to shake theirs!
She loves to teach Hula Hooping and Circus Props, bringing a fresh perspective and helping everyone feel confident performing with props, no matter their skill level.
