As part of the Margaret River’s Cabin Fever Festival, Sugar Blue Burlesque has joined forces with Burger Baby for an evening of Burlesque and Burgers – The Burgerlesque Academy!
Discover the art of the tease, in an evening for women of every age, shape and size. Under the tutelage of vintage burlesque rock stars A’dora Derriere and The Sugar Duchess of Sugar Blue Burlesque, you will learn how to unleash your creative performance vixen. If you don’t think she exists, who cares!
Tonight, we celebrate our bodies with acceptance, frivolity (and feathers!) with a workshop which teaches all facets of Burlesque from dance, performance and the art of tease to makeup.
Food and drinks included. Women only. (Yes, even the male staff at Burger Baby get the night off!)
What to Wear – Dress up!
Feel free to put on something glamorous! Semi-formal evening wear or go full gown if you like! Anything with sparkles is great for burlesque, hot pants and short skirts, stocking corsets are also fabulous to wear.
Wear a pair of heels that you can dance in.
Feel free to wear a basic make-up to the event and we will show you how to build your make up on top of it, ready for the stage!
What to Bring
Bring a basic make-up and hair kit. Kit suggestions, but not essential: false eyelashes, red lipstick, blush, eye shadows, eyebrow pencil, eye liner and any face glitters that you have. Bobby pins & hair spray.

Sugar Blue Burlesque presents their new 2016 Fringe World Festival show, ‘Silhouette‘, a sumptuous exploration of hedonic delights, held for one night only at the Boardwalk Theatre at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.
Burlesque artistes use rich lighting design and unconventional fabrics to create a provocative show inspired by Parisian Cabaret.
Lush and tactile, ‘Silhouette’ is a sensory experience that will captivate you with fleshly forms and curious costuming.

Performing mini shows throughout the night, its going to be an event to be remembered!
Cecile Mimieux and Ruby DeLure are off to Geraldton to perform and teach workshops at G-FEST, Geraldton’s Arts Spectacular Festival for 2015!
