Vintage Showgirl & Chorus line 

6-week course, six 1-hour sessions over six weeks.

Course Description

Become a part of a spectacular showgirl stage extravaganza!
Learn to present yourself with poise and confidence and you develop controlled chorus line techniques.
Increase your flexibility as you tone your legs and widen your smile with this vintage dance revolution!
It's time to lengthen those lashes and glitter your lips, Vintage Showgirl and Chorus line is here!!

Week 1: Can Can/Group Choreography/Flex and Stretch
Week 2: Canons and Cascades (includes both small standing and floor routine) GroupChoreography/Flex and Stretch
Week 3: Poise, posture and Presentation (core strength and posing) Group Choreography/Flex and Stretch
Week 4: Kicking Sequences (includes a small vegas routine) Group Choreography/Flex and Stretch
Week 5: Vintage chorus line/Group Choreography/Flex and Stretch
Week 6: Group Choreography/Flex and Stretch

Over the six weeks the group will also learn a fun and glamorous showgirl routine, with the opportunity to perform it at a Sugar Blue Burlesque live show. Just add feathers and a whole lot of glitter, and you're ready for the spotlight!


What to Wear

Comfortable clothing and comfortable heels you can dance in (recommended, but not essential). Leggings recommended as you will be doing floor work. Bring along a bottle of water and a towel. For the performance at the Fresh Faced Follies show, the showgirl graduation show costumes can be hired from Sugar Blue for $20.

Restrictions

This course is for women only and any age.

No experience whatsoever is needed to take the course, it's perfect for all ages, shapes and persuasions! All levels of skill can be catered to, whether you're a dancer/actor/performer or have never taken a dance class in your life!

*Please note, if you are under 18 yrs old and do this course, you will not be able to perform in the fresh faced follies show at the end of the course as this show will be at the Bakery, which is a licensed venue. There will be no exceptions.
