With face-making skillz that cannot be tamed, and limbs that flail for days, Ginger LaMinge is an explosion of all things quirky, campy and loaded with sass. Cultivated in the comedic and skillful in satire, this leggy loony is often known to fling clothes about the place, sing songs, and talk absolute baloney at people through a microphone. She's sure to raise some eyebrows, roofs and pant areas.
Ginger LaMinge has her fingers in many pies. Born into a world of entertainment, she grew up performing in the circus, and has a strong background of training in dance and theatre arts. She has a Bachelor of Performance Arts and has since veered into Postgraduate studies in Sexology. Combining her love for performance and sexuality diversity, titillation and absurdity, she has created vibrant original works of Burlesque and Cabaret, including the release of her debut comedy EP “Lexie McGee” and solo cabaret show “Pants! And Other Things”. She’s an entertainer of children and adults alike, with 11 years and counting in her job as a fairy, and a regular on the burlesque lineup since 2009. In 2010 she was crowned Miss Burlesque Perth and has made various appearances across the country in the Australian Burlesque Festival, the Perth International Burlesque Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and various local and interstate shows. Her MCing adventures have seen her hosting events such as Miss Burlesque Western Australia, RAW Perth, WA Pole Dancing Championships, Dr Sketchy’s, and many Sugar Blue Burlesque shenanigans. When she’s not neck deep in all of the above, you’ll usually find her interpretive dancing in her loungeroom.
