Tantalising and yet tasteful, Fizzy Delight has a fun-loving nature will show you how much fun the seduction of Burlesque can be. Her colourful and saucy choreography will captivate even the most prudish audience.
Lara (aka Fizzy Delight) has been dancing since she was 2 years old, starting out in jazz ballet as a child. With a flair for the dramatic, she was often involved in local theatre productions.
At age 15, she danced at Graduate College under Terry Charlesworth for 12 months, exploring her skills in ballet, contemporary and Spanish dance. Though ballet was her primary focus as a teenager, Lara then moved to Melbourne at age 18 under a scholarship at the Tony Bartuccios Studio and branched into into tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, drama and singing.
After taking a break from dancing for 12 months, Lara attended a Burlesque circus show – the beguiling performances had her immediately signing up for a fan workshop and begin the offered Sugar Blue Burlesque courses.
A great judge of her own ability, Lara was captivated with the seductive playfulness and knew it was something she wanted to continue with. Hook, line and sinker – she was taken in by the style and tease of the dance as a new source of expression. With performances at The Bakery and the Brass Monkey, teaching her Burlesque classes in Mandurah and her recent entry into the Perth 2013 Pin Up Pageant, Lara’s repertoire of moves and flourishes make her Burlesque routines unique and versatile.
