Course Description
A direct continuation from Beginners Burlesque Dance Course, the Intermediate Dance Course will use similar props and techniques to help you build characterisation and challenge you in choreography.This course will help you master your basic dance knowledge from the previous course by focusing on strengthening your technique. In addition to this you will learn advanced movements for chair and floor routines, helping to expand your knowledge of burlesque dance.
Each week you will be taught installments of group choreography.
Your group will be divided up representing the many facets of burlesque dance to be later performed in the Fresh Faced Follies show.
Week 1: Intermediate Bump and Grind/group choreography
Week 2: The Art of Tease (Boa's, Gloves, Garters and how it all comes together!)/Group Choreography
Week 3: Intermediate Chair Dance/Group Choreography
Week 4: Intermediate Floor Routine/Group Choreography
Week 5: Characterisation (Faces of Burlesque: Poise and Presentation)/Group Choreography
Week 6: Group Choreography
Over the six weeks the group will also learn a fun and sexy Burlesque routine, with the opportunity to perform it at a Sugar Blue Burlesque live show. Just add fishnets and a whole lot of glitter, and you're ready for the spotlight!
The Burlesque Bump and Grind Casual class is recommended as the perfect addition to this course.
